Valley were able to gain the advantage in the second half with strong runs by midfielders Matt Harford, Mitch Wilson and Tom Jennings.  

Valley forwards Dave Anstiss, Will McConnell and Alexz Crawford were able to keep the pressure on the Allsorts defenders Tom Karp, Mick Lees and Dave Cannon. Allsorts at times showed good ball skill and team work to penetrate the Valley circle. 

Kangaroo Valley goals were scored by Dave Anstiss, Alexz Crawford, S. Brown and Will McConnell, while Aaron Lloyd and Matt Lees were goal scorers for Allsorts.

In the other men’s games, Shoalhaven Heads picked up a win over St Georges Basin 6-nil.  

Heads’ goal scorers were Aaron Smith 2, Lachlan Butfield 2, David Bolt and O. Sigal, with Bolt, Butfield and Matt Clarke picking up best and fairest points.  

Best on field for Basin was Thomas Dolby, Mike Dolby and Corey Wallan.

Burrawang’s Jack Donavan netted four in his side’s 6-4 win over Bluejays.  

Jack was supported by N. Roberts and B. Broomfield with one goal each.  

Bluejays scorers were S. Connelly, L. Connelly, Sam Crisafi and M. Graham. 

Allsorts Orange defeated St Georges Basin White 2–nil in the first round of the women’s games.  

Mel Boundy and TJ Newton scored for Allsorts. 

The game was evenly matched with both teams having opportunities to capitalise early.  

However it was Allsorts which, after much pressure, were able to score.  

Wendy Williams was in goals for Basin and once again showed no fear on the Allsorts attack and saved many shots at goal.  

Williams was joined by Aleesha Wayman and Taylor Matteson-Gee as best on field for Basin, while Mel Boundy, Bianca Smith and Sarah Wakeford picked up best and fairest for Allsorts.

In the second women’s game St Georges Basing Red defeated Shoalhaven Heads Blue 5-1.  

Basin Red scorers were K. Richards, Dannille Dolby, Jess Muir, Sharon Walters and Matheson-Gee. 

Kay Stone scored for Heads Blue.

In the junior games the St Georges Basin and Kangaroo Valley match was an entertaining affair with plenty of shots at goal, but good defence and goal keeping kept the scores even throughout. 

Basin went to the lead mid-way through the first half through a Liam Dooley goal and seemed in control of the game spending most of the time in attack, but struggling to get away shots on goal. 

However, when Valley found room in attack they looked threatening through Joe Cuttler and James Hayes. 

It was one foray forward by James Hayes who managed to beat half a dozen Basin defenders before a sharp back stick shot snuck past the keeper to level the scores. 

Both teams tried hard to the end to break the deadlock, but the final score remained 1-all.

 In the other junior game the dominance of Callum Mackay for Bluejays was again the difference with Bluejays coming away with a 4-1 win over the young Allsorts outfit. 

Alastair Urquart (2), Kye Jones and Mackay scored for Bluejays while Saxon Perry scored for Allsorts.
