The new four bedroom home was a labour of love by the Shoalhaven community. The sale price of $430,000 was good news for Variety, the Children’s Charity which will receive more than $200,000 from the sale to help local sick, disadvantaged and special needs kids..
More than 80 local trades people and building suppliers, led by Shoalhaven’s GJ Gardner Homes brought the home to fruition on land that was given to Variety for a generously discounted price by local Macdonald family.
“We had been looking for a place for ages and then this came up which was absolutely perfect," Ms Irwin said.
"It was brand new and beautiful and ticked all of our boxes. We are really happy with the price we paid and knowing that the money we’ve spent will also go to Variety to help kids in need, has made buying our first home all the more special.”
