This week, until Friday night, there is plenty to celebrate at your local library.
This year’s theme for Library and Information Week is Join the Dots, emphasising the important connections libraries make for their users.
As part of Library and Information Week, more than 410,000 children across Australia will read Ursula Dubosarsky’s Too Many Elephants in this House on Wednesday at 11am during National Simultaneous Story time.
Nowra Library has continued to embrace technology and on Friday from 10am is offering a Technology Tune-up.
Staff will provide a free information seminar and demonstrate the advantages of its digital applications.
Participants will be shown how to use digital library services including e-books, e-magazines, language databases, fiction databases and ancestory.com and have a chance to win prizes. Morning tea will be provided.
On Thursday at 7pm, join the discussion when local bookworms vent about the books they hate.
