Match of the round
Solomon Motors/Mid City Motors Nowra Warriors Under 11’s
IN Nowra's first game of the season against Berry at Berry Sporting Complex, the under 11's came away with an 18-all draw.
After being down 12-nil early in the match, and trailing 12-6 nearing half-time, a well executed team try was scored by winger Taj Hart right on the half-time bell.
Nowra put in a much better second half of football and were leading 18-12 with two minutes remaining before Berry scored again to tie it up for the full-time score of an 18-all draw.
Overall it was a much improved performance after last season with all players contributing in providing a good base to improve on throughout the year.
The coach was happy to see the boys play well as they have been training hard leading up to their first game.
The team motto is “if we train hard, we play hard”.
With all players putting in great performances, standout performers were Jonah Longbottom, William Braddick, Zack Kelly, Jayden Simms-Foster, Kaleb Stewart and Rodney Davis-Stewart.
Try scorers: Jonah Longbottom 2, Taj Hart 1.
Goal kickers: Kaleb Stewart 2, Davey Carpenter 1
