A man has died following a head-on collision at Worrowing Heights on Saturday morning.
Police were called to The Wool Road, near Naval College Road, following reports of a head-on collision at about 10.30am.
A silver sedan and table-top truck had collided head-on with a man found dead inside the sedan.
The 35-year-old truck driver was not injured in the collision but was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.
While police were at the scene a man allegedly punched a female officer in the face.
He was subdued with capsicum spray while the injured officer was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital for treatment of facial injuries.
The Wool Road was closed while police investigated the accident.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the collision are continuing and police are preparing a report for the Coroner.
