Shoalhaven Hockey Association is running a come and try session this Saturday as part of the Shoalhaven Women in Sport free come and try sporting sessions which is an International Women’s Day initiative co-ordinated by Shoalhaven City Council.
Bernie Regan Hockey Complex will be open
from 10am until noon for women to come and
try hockey.
There will also be children’s activities set up.
The association will supply all required equipment, and there will be some fun activities set up for any women and any juniors who want to come and try hockey.
There will also be an exhibition of the new hockey 5s game, which is on a half field with side and end boards, played over three 10 minute periods.
Women and juniors will then be welcome to join in a game if they wish.
Information on clubs and how to register will be available for those looking to play this year.
Planning for the association’s winter season is well under way, with clubs actively seeking players for their 2014 campaign.
