Shoalhaven athletes are training hard in preparation for the weekend of competition.
The first two places at each of the eight regions will automatically progress to state.
Little Athletics NSW then selects the next best eight clear final performances from across all regions, making a total of up to 24 athletes in each event at state.
One athlete sure to do well at regionals is Samantha Peace.
Samantha recently broke the club discus record in the under 15s with a throw of 43.36 metres, smashing the previous record of 38.45 metres.
She also broke the carnival discus record at the gala day.
The club wishes Sam and all its athletes the best of luck at the championships.
If you are still unsure about the events your child has made it through for, please check out the Little Athletics NSW website in the championships section.
