At Tuesday’s council meeting it was recommended council undertake earthworks to alleviate nuisance flooding at no cost to him.
The road has a creek running through it and residents previously claimed road works on the other side of the waterway were causing an increase in flooding of their properties.
Council’s works and services manager Tony Fraser said while the proposed work wouldn’t necessarily solve Mr Jobling’s flooding issues it should alleviate some of them.
“This localised filling is a way to alleviate some of the issues he has on his land.
“It is literally just putting some fill in the low lying corner of his property to lift that area.”
Mr Fraser said the work should only take a couple of days and would get under way in the near future.
