Gray won the open award while Priestly won the junior award.
The winners were announced at the Shoalhaven Australia Day awards ceremony yesterday at the Nowra Showground.
Both had achieved so much in their career and deserved to win.
Gray captained the NSW under 18 indoor hockey team to a gold medal at last year’s Australian Championships.
Gray, in the last 12 months, represented the NSW Open women’s indoor hockey team at the national titles where she won a silver medal as well as being a member of the NSW under 21 field hockey team who received a silver medal at the national titles.
Gray is also a member of the NSW (Open Women’s) Arrows AHL Field Hockey team that won bronze at the national titles.
Priestly, after moving to show jumping from equestrian at 14 years of age, has already represented Australia in numerous competitions.
Competing in a show jumping tournament last year in Germany, Priestly won a sportsmanship award for her positive attitude, friendliness and terrific riding over the week long competition.
At last year’s Royal Easter Show, Priestly won the competition after recording a personal best jump and Olympic height of 1.63 metres.
Congratulations to both winners.
