POLICE have seized almost 200 cannabis plants, with a potential street value of more than $1 million, during a raid at a property in Bega earlier this month.

About 2.15pm on Thursday, January 9, police from the Far South Coast Local Area Command with the assistance of officers attached to the Target Action Group, executed a search warrant at a rural property.
A sophisticated hydroponic setup throughout several rooms of the house as well as the garage was found. Police seized 198 cannabis plants, across several areas of the home, which have an estimated potential street value of more than $1 million.
