There have been growing problems with television reception across large parts of the Shoalhaven.
Authorities have blamed it on a combination of weather conditions and a restack of digital television services across the country.
The hot weather the area is experiencing is producing a phenomenon known as ducting, where unusual atmospherics disturb the television signals.
This can happen in both hot and cold conditions.
Some digital channels are also being restacked on their particular transmitters ahead of changing their frequency as the final step in the move to digital-only TV.
And that includes services coming from the transmitter on Knights Hill that services much of the Shoalhaven.
This situation is unlikely to improve until the restack of digital television services has been completed at the end of 2014.
The official public retune for parts of the Shoalhaven will vary from March, April, May and June. (For more information see retune.digitalready.gov.au).
Complaints can be registered with Digital Ready on 1800 201013 or www.digitalready.gov.au or ACMA (Australian Communications and Media Authority) on 1800 226667 or www.acma.gov.au.
In the meantime Gilmore MP Ann Sudmalis has urged residents experiencing difficulties to contact the relevant complaints departments.
