Despite losing in the first two rounds of 2013, both being two day games, Berry surged and went on an undefeated run up until Christmas. 

Their success has been largely thanks to the inclusion of Ty Cherry, Brad Carey and most recently, spinner Phil Dell’Orefice.

These inclusions, along with their already strong and experienced line up, have allowed Berry to form a potent bowling attack and solid top order batting line up. 

Dell’Orefice could prove to be the missing component of the Berry side, providing them with a vital spin option to complement their pace attack.

However Nowra are not without their share of class as well.

Michael Coulter has had a dominant start to the 2013/14 season with both bat and ball and provides Nowra with an effective change option from their already strong pace attack.

Alex Legge (17 wickets) and Justin Weller (16 wickets) have been in good form with the ball this season and will be sure to test out the Berry top order. 

Despite their effective bowling unit, it will be their batting which Nowra hopes to shine on Sunday.

Openers Lewis O’Brien and Scott Fagerlund will be hoping to get the innings off to a good start and will be supported by Daniel Bryant who has had success already this season. 

The Berry team contains plenty of experience, lead by skipper Kerry Penfold and have had their share of opportunities in recent years, however the question remains whether they can break the cycle and snatch the victory this Sunday.

Nowra are almost the opposite, with a young and talented team that is yet to have their shot at premiership glory. 

Both teams have their opportunity to etch their name into the history books this Sunday though and it is destined to be a dynamic and exciting match.
