It was a great event with over 100 people attending.
Presents were distributed to all children who are members of the club, which amounted to over 50 presents and trophies.
A special thank you to the Red Cross at Shoalhaven Heads for giving a donation for the children’s presents.
Tinka Easton won the Bruce Fagan Award again this year, which is awarded to the best judo player for 2013.
“Tinka really deserved this trophy this year for her amount of first places and minor placings in international tournaments,” said coach Bruce Fagan.
This year Shekea Potter was recognised as a role model for all judo players to follow.
“Shekea trains hard and does not miss a night of training for 12 months,” Fagan said.
“All the younger members look up to Shekea for her devotion and loyalty to the club and her judo ability which she quite willingly shares with the younger members.”
Judo will restart on February 4, 2014, as the club is closed for the school holidays.
Anyone interested in learning judo can call 4448 8494 or call at Shoalhaven Head’s Community Centre at Shoalhaven Heads between 5.30pm and 7.30pm on a Tuesday or Wednesday evening.
No judo is held over the school holidays.
