The championships were conducted from November 1 to December 8 at the Dunc Gray Veledrome in Bankstown.
Mullany said she was surprised with the result as it was her first competition in the under 19s age division.
“I didn’t know how I would go against the girls because I hadn’t raced them in a year, but it turned out all right,” she said.
All right is an understatement for the Illawarra Grammar School student, who claimed gold in the 250 metre standing lap, 500 metre individual time trial, sprint and scratch race.
Mullany also claimed silver in the JW19 omnium, with bronze in the kierin and points race.
“The time trial has always been an event I loved so I hoped for a win in that,” Mullany admitted.
But it was the sprint that was her toughest win, with the final between Mullany and St George club’s Lara Batkin, who defeated Mullany two years previous in the semi-final.
Mullany won the first sprint of the best of three event easily.
“But in the second sprint I got caught behind, but I just managed to pip her on the line,” Mullany said.
Mullany’s next event is the Australian U19 Track Championships, which will be held in Adelaide in late January 2014.
“I just wanted to thank the Illawarra Institute of Sport, my sponsor Specialized, and my dad for coaching me,” she said.
