Local Southern Fitness and Martial Arts fighters Chad McGillick, Nick Martin, Raymond Moore, Michael Moss, Josh Jackson and Cameron Howes will join a huge line-up of professional and amateur fighters from the Illawarra to take on top national and international fighters in real MMA action.
Cameron Howes, 20, is confident his well-rounded fighting style will put him in good stead for a sixth consecutive win.
Although he does not know who he is up against in the 77 kilogram division, Howes is certain of how the fight is going to end.
“I only know that the guy is from Wollongong and he is about to get his arse kicked,” he declared.
Howes has been fighting for two years and credited the sport with giving him confidence and keeping his fights legal.
“I think I had so many fights on the streets, that I realised that I was actually really good at this and that I could make something of it,” he said.
Howes said Saturday’s match-ups would be less of a fight and more of a showcase of all the local fighter’s skills.
“There will be five other local guys fighting so it is bound to be good,” he said.
“We have all been fighting really well and have been training really hard together. It should be a fantastic night.”
Doors open at 6pm with the first fight at 7pm. Tickets can still be purchased from the S h o a l h a v e n Entertainment Centre’s website www.shoalhavenentertainment.com.au.
