4:10pm: We are finishing our live blog for the day. It has been a great day getting among all the action of the annual district show. There is lots still happening at Nowra Showground for the Nowra Show. Stick around for the junior disco at 5.15pm in the Exhibition Hall, the woodchop at 6pm, the Shoalhaven Concert Band at 6.30pm. In the main arena for 6pm we have the mini trucks, dog high jump, Nowra Showgirl presentation, Ron McKinnon’s bullock team and finish with the…..Nowra Show rodeo!
3.57: While everyone’s waiting for the afternoon activities, families are having so much fun in sideshow alley.
3.42: Fluorotastic is ready for the junior disco!
3.39: The photo gallery has exploded!
3.36: So cute! We’re going to have to try really hard to stop ourselves taking this little one home.
3.25pm: Happy 18th birthday to Jamie Priestley today who is spending the day showjumping in the main arena.
3.10pm: Barbara Hinnichsen watching the blog go live today. Barbara said she “loves the new look Register.” Want to have a chat and share your thoughts? Come see us!
2.49pm: Register journalist Jessica Long is in her element snapping away on the showjumping course.
2.30pm: One of these is just not like the other…
2.26pm: Jamie Priestley has the great honour of being the first to win the Graeme Swan Memorial Trophy in the showjumping.
2.15pm: Meeting the spinners and weavers is well worth it. A very interesting skill.
2.05pm: The 2016 Nowra Showgirls have just picked a winner for the colouring competition. Congratulations to seven-year-old Summer Walker from St Georges Basin Public School.
2pm: The bullock team display looks great in the main arena.

1.39pm: Kila Campbell making sure Edward’s cooled off after a big morning in the ring.
1.05pm: Those ears! Halle Bramley from Berry is feeling proud of herself after winning the Ridden Shetland. Congrats Halle.
The showjumping is continuing in the main arena. There are some fierce competitors out there today. Well worth watching.

12.49pm: Great day out at the Nowra Show today. It’s a bit overcast but nothing can stop the fun and excitement, head down!
12.45pm: Cute alert! Two-month-old William Warnes watching mum and dad compete in the cattle section.
12.41pm: Big congratulations to the Crawford family on their Champion Holstein Cow win.
12.30pm: We’ve just had news that a baby boy was born around 9am this morning. The showgirls will visit the 2016 Nowra Show baby on Saturday. Congratulations to the parents.
12.15pm: We’ve just updated our gallery. Check out these great pics our journalists have just taken at the show.
12pm: Cattle judging is still going and the last milk demonstration for the day will start in 15 minutes. Be sure to take a look.
11.30am: Everyone’s at the Nowra Show today! Say hello to the mounted police when you see them on your way around.
11.27am: The horses in harness is just about to start in the main arena.

11.10am: Isabella Evans from Windsor perfectly completes a practise jump before taking on the showjumping course.
11.01am: Good luck to all the competitors in the cattle judging!
11am: The pavilion is officially open so make sure you head over and check out the beautiful flower arrangements, photography and delicious home baking on display. We had a sneak peak yesterday and there’s definitely some strong talent around!
10:54: The kids are having a great time at the milking demonstration in the cattle arena. Missed this one? Don’t worry, just catch the next one at 11.15am.
10:49: Make sure you say hello to our showgirls when you see them out and about today.

10.15am: A milking demonstration has just started in the cattle arena. There’s another one at 11.15am and 12.15pm if you miss the first one.
9.30am: The exhibition hall has opened. The schools program has kicked off and the show cafe is now serving. There are plenty of displays around the show too so make sure you check them out.
In the added area the animal nursery and miniature goats are open to visitors and look very cute.
9am: The South Coast Register team has set up at the 2016 Nowra Show and will be rolling live coverage throughout the day. We are set up in gymnasium next to the added area. Come and say hello.
