Academy swimmers at Thredbo camp
Five Academy swimmers, Kelly Denner, Kirstin Wallace, Michael Moore, Aaron Terechovs and William Knight, attended an intensive swimming training camp at Thredbo with the Illawarra Academy of Sport last week. This comes on the heels of the NSW State Titles where all of these swimmers competed.
The camp included swimming and high altitude training, as well as theory based lectures from the trainers.
Reports received were that it was particularly gruelling with some vast variation to their usual training routines, however all found the camp to be extremely beneficial and rewarding.
Closing dates for carnivals are as follows:
Nowra Carnival, to be held at Bomaderry Pool, closed January 24; February 10); NSW Country Championships, closes January 29 (February 23-25); SCATS Restricted Age, and SCATS Sprints, at Dapto, close February 2 (February 17).
See Sue Seider at training for race cards and copies of programs as they become available.
