The Knights jumped out of the blocks and had two tries on the board to Cade Hotham and Tom Angel to race to an 8-0 lead in as many minutes, but the Magpies then produced their best football of the game to score converted tries to prop Lloyd Thomas and half Billy Hayburn to take a 12-8 lead.

The Knights will travel to Ulladulla next Saturday to take on the Milton-Ulladulla Bulldogs.
