ADFAS will provide opportunities for both the SYO and SJS to perform on numerous occasions throughout the year.
The group's 2022 program commenced earlier this year with its first live lecture in over 12 months, as the group was wowed by SYO principal trumpet player Matthew's mini recital which was then followed by a captivating lecture by Dr Peter McNeil on the Jewish Fashion Story in Sydney.
The group had 28 new members who turned up to the evening, along with their numerous returning members and visitors who all helped to make the years opening event such a thorough success.
Through the rest of 2022, ADFAS will continue to offer members and visitors interesting lectures centered around the topics of fine, decorative, contemporary and creative art forms, as well as providing a performance outlet for regions young musicians.
The monthly meetings which are usually held at the Berry Uniting Church Hall, are a wonderful and informal way to make friends and get to know others in the community.
ADFAS remains steadfast committed to the development of the area's young talented musicians and aims to nurture both their passion and commitment to their art.
The groups next lecture will take place April 28 titled 'The Life of Hilda Rix Nicholas'.
One of Australia's great artists who's work illustrates a wonderful truth; out of adversity can come great beauty.
Visitors are always welcome to the meetings as ADFAS hopes to continue to bring the Shoalhaven community together through the creative sphere they have built.
