Wade Forrester's senior men's side won through to the decider against the Northern Rivers Titans with an 18-4 win over Monaro on a heavy 10 at Ron Costello Oval Shellharbour.

Likewise, Peter Hooper's Laurie Daley Cup (under 18s) side booked their shot at the crown with an 18-12 win over the Central Coast at Collegians - a double to fullback Wesley Pring sealing the deal.

It will see them head into the decider high on confidence having gone 4-1 through the regular rounds, though they'll be looking to right their only defeat of the season that came at the hands of grand final opponents North Coast Bulldogs.

The Dragons men looked to have done it easy on the scoreboard against Monaro, but Forrester said his side was more than willing to pay the price in a brutal slugfest.

"I thought last weekend's game was one of the toughest and most physical games of country footy I've seen in a long, long time," Forrester said.

"In treacherous conditions, it was an absolute quagmire, the boys stood up and I was proud of the the effort they put in. We held the ball enough and our defence has been outstanding the last couple of weeks.

"It's been a fair effort from where we were to start with. We've only trained three times and only had one full session but that's the nature of the beast and you just roll with the punches.

"From our first game to now we've just got better and better. Northern Rivers have got some outstanding talent across the park so they'll be up for the challenge.

"It's grand final day so we'll need to be at our best, that's for sure."

Two out of four ain't bad, but the Dragons went desperately close to having four sides battling it out for the silverware, with Aaron Hertsch's Andrew Johns Cup (under 16s) team edged out by four points in the semi-final.

The Dragons women's side also fell just short of a grand final berth, going down 8-4 in another tough graft-and- grind at Shellharbour.
