The events, including one scheduled for Kiama on Sunday, February 20, is not cancelled, instead, it's got a makeover
With ongoing COVID concerns, organisers have had to rejig the delivery of Cupid's Undie Run 2022, the signature fundraiser for the Children's Tumour Foundation (CTF), the charitable authority and only dedicated support service for people impacted by neurofibromatosis (NF) in Australia.

But there is no way the event is being cancelled, organisers are determined not to let anything crash Cupid's 10th birthday party.
However, with the health of the NF community, volunteers and staff are of utmost importance to the CTF, so instead of thousands meeting in a pack in capital cities, you can now form your very own DIY run where you get to pick the location and time between now and February 28.
You can now form your very own DIY Undie Run where you get to pick the location and time between now and February 28.
CTF is giving you total creative control over your Undie Run experience and want to see you bring your best, as you show off a little flesh - in the name of charity.
After two years of virtual events, it was hoped Cupid's Undie Run was heading back to the streets in 10 cities and towns around Australia and being its10th anniversary had even more reasons to celebrate.
Cupid's Undie Run is a 'brief' fun run - only 1.5 km long, followed by a party and as the name suggests, you can be brave and strip down to your undies or even take on fancy dress to share the love for those with Neurofibromatosis (NF).
So for those already registered for the Kiama event, you'll still experience the thrill of running in your undies, it just won't be as a big group at Kiama Surf Lifesaving Club for the run or party.
Instead, you get to pick your own place and time between now and February 28 to hold your own run and party!
Have some fun, bare a little, and dare to be brave for those with NF.
Registration is now free, so, assemble your mates, form a team as individual fundraisers and strip down to your smalls.
Will you hit the main street, beach or give a local sporting match a half-time show like never before?
CTF exists to help bring hope to those facing the unknowns of NF by advocating for more research, better resources and awareness, connections and support needed at every stage of their journey.
NF is a genetic disorder that affects one in every 2500 people, and on average, a child is born every three days with NF in Australia.
It causes tumours to form on nerves in the body, including the brain and spine. NF can also cause cancer, blindness, deafness, physical differences, learning difficulties and chronic pain.
It is unpredictable, progressive and there is currently no cure.
"We have had to adapt Cupid's this year to ensure every member of our NF community is safe," said CTF's Chief Executive Officer, Leanne Dib.
"Although it's a shame we can't all be together in the original capacity we were expecting, we're asking everyone to get involved and show their support for the many Australians facing the adversities of NF.
"Events like Cupid's Undie Run and ongoing lobbying with the Australian Government has helped fund millions of dollars in research to help those living with NF.
"We've already taken some big steps forward, but there's more to do."
NF can challenge people living with the condition by changing their bodies over time.
Cupid's Undie Run is a way for everyone to show their support by being brave like those that live with NF and baring a little to overcome any self-negativity about body image.
Participants can do their DIY undie run wearing their undies or, choose to dress up in a Cupid's t-shirt and tutu to show support.
Registration is now free and there will be a raffle and competitions, with up to $12,000 of Cupid's 10th birthday presents for you to win.
Prizes will be up for grabs for the highest individual fundraiser, the best dressed Cupid and the best DIY after-run party so be sure to post on your socials and tag @cupidsundierunoz #BestDressedCupid #BestCupidsParty.
CTF is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to empowering families impacted by NF with the knowledge, connections and support needed at every stage of their journey.
NF is a term for three distinct disorders: NF1, NF2 and Schwannomatosis.
CTF also raises funds to support promising medical research aimed at finding new treatments and ultimately a cure for NF.
