Moruya Golf Club general manager Josh Prowse described the event as the "biggest golf event for 2022 on the South Coast,", and said five local players would feature in the tournament.
"Kicking off the weekend will be a Pro-Am event on Saturday where amateurs will play with professionals competing for a large prize pool," Mr Prowse said. "This is a great chance to play alongside some of the best golfers in Australia.
"The NSW Open Qualifier (South Coast Open) will be held over two days, Sunday and Monday, where players will compete for a prize pool of $50,000.
"The top three place getters will qualify for entry into the NSW Open to be held at Concord Golf Club on March 17."
The host club will feature promising young juniors PJ Grant, Bailey Pearson-Perryman and Tom Heffernan in the tournament, as well as club champion Gavin Fitzgerald and resident PGA Pro Andrew Booth.
"Our five locals will be competing against some of the best players in Australia, such as Grace Kim, Jordan Zunic, Deyen Lawson, Andre Stolz and Guy Wall to name a few," Mr Prowse said.
"Spectators are welcome to come along and enjoy two great days of golf where you can follow these players around the course.
"This is a great event for the region bringing much needed tourism to the area.
"With the golf course presenting in fantastic condition, it will be a great event not to be missed."
