Now drivers heading into the Shoalhaven are sure to spot one of the biggest cows on the highway.
Sydney-based mural artist, Stuart Sale, has painted a brightly coloured cow on the shed of Meroo Meadow property, free of charge, and it's going to be the first of many.
Stuart was travelling to the South Coast, and thought he would put an expression of interest for free murals on various local Facebook community groups.
Inundated with over 120 responses, Stuart will spend the next five days painting wildlife and rural-inspired murals on barns, sheds, walls and corrugated structures from Berry to Kangaroo Valley.
"I just wanted to have a week away from the city to paint in some rural areas," said Stuart.
"So I spoke to a friend from Berry to see if he had suggestions on how to make this happen.
"I posted my little ad online, and I was pretty blown away with the response."
The cow, adorned with coloured hearts, took 10 hours to paint. Stuart started with the background then used a projector to paint the cow at night.
Hit with some rainy weather on Tuesday, Stuart said his next mural had to be painted somewhere undercover.
He aims to represent local wildlife and settings that fit in with the South Coast - but has something else in mind for the Kangaroo Valley.
"I usually do a lot of portraits of iconic musicians, but I also do a lot of wildlife stuff, too," said Stuart.
"I wanted to come here and do things that fit the landscape and represents the local area, native birds and animals, that sort of thing.
"But in Kangaroo Valley, I'd love to do a great big kangaroo somewhere.
"I'm open to suggestions!"
Stuart can be reached on Instagram @stuartsale and said he is taking requests. He expects to return to the South Coast to paint free murals in the future.
