Club champions Curtis Trkulja and Josh Ludman raced in the under 19 junior championships at their first exposure at this level of racing.
Both riders excelled themselves in early performances and both had misfortune as they suffered crashes.
Curtis raced the individual time trial championship over 19 kilometres an average speed of 43 kph and finished 17th.
Then Josh raced in the criterium championship where he finished 13th after a crash on the final corner.
Josh did, however, win an intermediate sprint and placed third in the overall sprint aggregate.
Both Curtis and Josh started in the road championship on Saturday.
Despite some great climbing Curtis was involved in a crash early in the race as riders tumbled in front of him and he could not avoid the tangle.
Josh went on to record a 46th place finish position.
Both riders will be welcomed back to local racing next week as they plan and prepare for their 2022 event programs.
The Nowra Velo Club began it's 2022 program last Sunday with criterium racing on the Albatross Aviation Technology Park circuit.
Racing will continue at this venue next weekend and then road racing will resume on January 30.
Grade winners on Sunday's program were Merrick Law (A), Brad Oaten (B), Dallas Warner (C) and Eathan Astley (D).
