Prime Minister Scott Morrison will visit Forbes and meet with SES volunteers on Sunday afternoon along with NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet.

The area was inundated in November when the ongoing flooding first began.

Flood warnings are still in place for several areas around the state as further rain adds to catchments already saturated by the state's wettest November on record.

In the north of the state, the Macintyre River has peaked at Boggabilla, where residents were told to evacuate on Friday.

The river peaked on Saturday morning at 12.39 metres and is easing, down to 11.98 metres on Sunday morning.

Wee Waa remains isolated by major flooding on the Namoi River but floodwaters are easing.

Rivers there are expected to remain above major flood levels until at least Sunday afternoon.

Residents in the border town of Mungindi are warned flows from the Macintyre are likely to cause major flooding on the Barwon River later this month.

In the north west of NSW, Fords Bridge is facing moderate flooding later this week from the Warrego River, which is expected to peak in the town on Wednesday.

Major flooding is still occurring in central NSW at Warren on the Macquarie River, which is also delivering minor flooding at Wellington and Narromine.

Further south the Lachlan River which delivered major flooding to Forbes and then Jemalong has now fallen below moderate flood levels, though minor flooding is still occurring.

The main flood peak is now approaching Eubalong, with major flooding possible from Monday.

The Bogan River could reach moderate flooding at Mudall on Monday as well.
