A newly-built, architecturally-designed home in Barrengarry, that was constructed with "no budget" has hit the market with hopes of $9 million to $10 million.

The property, known as 'Mountain Springs', is on the market for the first time since a four-bedroom home designed by architect Scott Buscall of DesignStudioGroup was constructed there at the behest of vendor, former investment banker Garren Cronin.
It's listed with Carrie Bond of Bond Lifestyle Properties, who said there was "nothing to compare" the property to in the local market.
"It was built to be their own beautiful home and there was no budget," she said.
"When they started it was just a paddock ...The attention to detail is second to none," she added.
The vendor spent around five years scouting out the location, Ms Bond said, and the house enjoyed views from every room to the escarpment.

He had subsequently decided to move on to another project on a larger block of land, she said.
The Barrengarry suburb record currently sits at $4.35 million, according to CoreLogic data.
That was set by the sale of 45 Cavan Road, known as 'Camp David', in August this year.
Mountain Springs features a pavilion style layout, with extensive views of the escarpment.
Along with geo-thermal heated and cooled interiors, features of Mountain Springs include Italian limestone tiles and custom-made recycled messmate timber vanities in each of the four bathrooms and a stone freestanding bathtub in the master ensuite.
The kitchen features a butler's pantry and Italian aquila marble benchtops, as well as Gaggenau appliances.
Outside there's a heated mineral pool.
Mr Cronin is currently the principal of Sydney-based corporate advisory, Cadence Advisory. He was formerly a managing director at Lazard Investment Banking.
The property is held by Mr Cronin's private company, Cadence (90) Investments Pty Ltd, according to CoreLogic records.
It last changed hands in 2019 for $1,025,000, prior to the construction of the current residence.
