Held at Corrimal in one-to-two foot surf, Smith was impressive in the tricky surf to finish the final with a massive 16.56 two-wave heat total - seeing him claim his third state title in as many years.
To claim the crown, Smith edged out Kobi Clements (11.83), Xavier Bryce (9.90) and Duke Wrencher (7.80) for top spot.
Meanwhile, in the under 18 girls final, Shell Cove's Oceanna Rogers employed similar tactics in her victory against fellow South Coast surfer Keira Buckpitt (Culburra Beach) who finished in the runner-up spot.
Rogers put on an impressive display in the final, notching up a 15.10 two-wave heat total to take the win, with Ulladulla Boardriders' Buckpitt (12.36), Lucy Brown (12.34) and Gabi Spake (9.56) rounding out the top four - with Gerringong's Holly Wishart finishing equal fifth.
In the under 16 boys final, Port Stephens' Eden Hasson will head home with his head held high after taking out title.
Hasson made light work of the mediocre surf as he notched up a 15.00 two-wave total to finish in the winner's chair ahead of Bateau Bay's Hugh Vaughan, who finished in second position.
Milla Brown finished her state title campaign with a bang as she took out the under 16 girls final.
Brown flared in the final exchange, nailing an array of decent and technical forehand hits to win the final with a 15.63 two-wave heat total, ahead of Zahlia Short (11.20) and former Ulladulla Boardrider Jessica Ikin (9.57).
In the under 14s division, Cronulla's Kash Brown and Manly's Ruby Trew were crowned boys and girls champions respectively on Monday at Sandon Point.
In other Ulladulla Boardrider news, Ariel Hutchinson reached the under 18 boys quarter-finals, Korbin Whyte progressed to the under 16 boys quarter-finals, Koby Jackson and Reece Harper got knocked in round two and three respectively of the under 16 boys and Lincoln Dell made the second round of the under 14 boys.
