There have been no new COVID cases recorded in the Shoalhaven for almost a week, with only one new case recorded in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District in Wednesday's update.

Today is the fifth day in a row that no Shoalhaven residents have been diagnosed with COVID-19 overnight.
The one case recorded in the district is located in Wollongong, with the source of infection under investigation.
Despite the continued low cases numbers in recent weeks, the local health district is reminding the community to remain vigilant for even the mildest of symptoms, and to continue to come forward for testing and vaccination.

While local numbers have remained low and steady, state case numbers have increased over the last two days.
NSW recorded 231 new COVID cases in the 24 hours to 8pm last night, up on yesterday's 212 cases.
However, no deaths were recorded in Wednesday's update.
The state's population aged 16 years and over is now 91.3 per cent fully vaccinated, while 94.2 per cent have had their first dose.
The Shoalhaven's population aged 16 years and over is over 95 per cent fully vaccinated.

The local health district has also reminded the community vaccination clinics are now offering a booster dose of the Pfizer vaccine to people aged 18 years and older, six months after their second dose.
Booster shots are also available at local general practitioners and pharmacies.
NSW Health are no longer routinely listing case locations for regional and rural NSW on its website.
NSW Health will continue to contact people diagnosed with COVID-19 and their close contacts, and all people who need to follow specific health advice.
Residents are also alerted of exposure sites through the NSW Service app.

Waminda has announced a new COVID testing clinic will open at its Nowra office Mondays and Fridays.
The clinic is available for Aboriginal women, men and children and bookings are not necessary.
