The former 36ers development player, who has trained with Illawarra during the off-season, signed with the Hawks on a three-year deal.
Mudronja agreed to join as a nominated injury replacement player for the upcoming NBL season, with an eye on the 22-year-old moving into a full-time roster position in 2022-23.
The 196-centimetre guard spent the past two years at Adelaide, playing 17 games last campaign.
"Wollongong is awesome. I've been loving my time there so far and the boys on the team have made it a very easy transition for me," Mudronja said.
"My biggest personal goal is to get better every day.
"I think my game is expanding in a lot of ways and I'm obsessed with learning and studying the game of basketball to keep getting better.
"But the ultimate goal is winning a championship, and I think we have the talent and chemistry to make that happen this year.
"The Hawks have created a great environment to do that, so I'm very excited to join them."
Mudronja's signing coincided with the Hawks announcing that Tim Coenraad had been elevated to a full-time roster position.
The veteran replaces the injured Dan Grida, who continues to recover after suffering a second ACL tear in September.
