After being closed for seven and half weeks during the last COVID restrictions he says it's great to be back open.
"It's been steady since we reopened," he said.
"We are still restricted in how many people we can have in the cafe at the one time. But people are starting to come back.
"And I think it's only going to get bigger and bigger as more restrictions ease."

He says summer is shaping up to be "huge".
"I think we are going to get smashed," he said. "At least I hope so.
"I think it's going to get crazy especially when we hopefully fully reopen over Christmas.
"We've already noticed our bookings are picking up and as more restrictions lift and the nice weather continues more and more people will be out and about and looking for a good feed.
"I think people are trying to get back to normal, or as much as close to normal as they can.
"I think summer is going to be absolutely huge."
He said the closure for seven weeks was tough on business.
"It hurt us and our staff," he said.
"We had no choice but to shut down.
"But we're back now, the weather's improving and people are coming out."
He said the business was doing everything it has to to combat COVID and follow the required guidelines.
"We are still restricted to the number of guests allowed but hopefully that will also soon lift and we can get back to having our standard 120 per sitting but we are looking at maybe doing at least two or more sittings each service," he said.
"But we are checking if people are double vaxxed, keeping hand sanitiser out and limit our number of tables and people in the cafe at one time."
The reopening could not have come at a better time, with Pelican Rocks again in the running for the Seafood Industry Australia (SIA) 2021 Great Australian Fish and Chip Awards.
Pelican Rocks have won the awards numerous times in previous years. This year the awards are only running as a people choice but you can vote multiple times for your favourite on the Great Australian Fish and Chip Awards website at https://www.fishandchipawards.com.au/
Voting closes December 12.
And just this week they were named as having the NSW's best hot chips in Wotif.com Uniquely Aussie Awards and placed second nationally behind Chicken Chef, Blair Athol from South Australia.
