The pair's 60th wedding anniversary will fall on Thursday, October 28, and they have plans to celebrate with family at a later date.
Avid tennis players in their younger years, Lindsay and Gai first met at the Nowra Tennis Courts. The couple would often play on the same team in tennis doubles.
They married at St Luke's Anglican Church, Berry, in 1961.
Living in the Shoalhaven their whole life, and in Bomaderry for their married life, Lindsay worked as a barber at Nowra and Bomaderry and Gai worked as a CBC Bank Officer in Berry.
Lindsay worked at 'My Barber Shop' in Bomaderry and later went on to start his own business, Linsday Hills Barber Shop.
After having children, Gai worked across local hospitality venues including the North Nowra Tavern.
Lindsay and Gai have two children, Lisa and David, and are the proud grandparents of seven grandchildren, Campbell, Charlotte, Flynn, Rayne, Jared, Riley and MacKenzie.

The pair loved and excelled in their sports. Linsday was a lawn bowler at the Bomaderry Bowling Club and trialled for the state team in the 60s and 70s. He finished up bowling a couple of years ago.
Gai competed in the physical culture club.
To their excitement, Linsday and Gai received certificates of congratulations from the Prime Minister Scott Morrison, the former NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian, the opposition leader Anthony Albanese, the Governor General and even Queen Elizabeth.
Linsday and Gai's friends described them as a "good team" who are very dedicated and supportive towards one another.
They still reside in Bomaderry and are enjoying their retirement.
