The current strain on travel within the competition has seen a push to the reestablishment of an exciting league in which towns and communities can rally around.
In years past, the competition has stretched from Vincentia in the north, to Bega and Merimbula in the south, while also including Braidwood.
However, with the support of the governing body, ACT and Southern NSW Rugby, the South Coast Rugby executive is now seeking expressions of interest from clubs and towns in the region to compete in 2022.
"Initial interest has come from Batemans Bay, Broulee, Bermagui, Cobargo, Milton and Vincentia," a South Coast Rugby spokesperson said.
"We're hoping to also attract interest from towns such Bega, Narooma and Tuross, which have been strong rugby areas in the past."
Anyone interested should make contact with South Coast Rugby via their email: rugbymail@bigpond.com.
In other news, South Coast Rugby Union has their AGM scheduled Monday, November 8 and encourage any person or club interested to make contact prior to the meeting.
