Officeworks Nowra customers have helped raise thousands of dollars to help close the Indigenous literacy gap as a part of the stores annual Wall of Hands Appeal.

Over $7600 was raised during the month of September with all proceeds going towards the Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation to deliver literacy programs in Indigenous communities across the nation.
This year, customers could purchase a hand in-store or a virtual hand, with all funds supporting ALNF's Early Language and Literacy, Share-A-Book and Literacy Pack programs.

Officeworks Nowra store business manager Peter Manning extended his thanks to the community for helping raise the funds.
"Thank you to all of our customers who donated to the Appeal to help close the Indigenous literacy gap," he said.
"I'm incredibly proud of the work our team puts in to support the Appeal. We're thrilled that we've been able to raise funds to support the important work of The Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation."
The Officeworks Wall of Hands Appeal raised over $710,000 this year.
