The Shoalhaven has recorded four new COVID-19 cases, with only one linked to known cases in the area, says the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD).

Two cases are located in the 2540 postcode and two are in the 2541 postcode.
Across the ISLHD there were 48 new COVID-19 cases.
There are 38 new cases in the Wollongong Local Government Area and six in the Shellharbour LGA.
There are no new cases in the Kiama LGA.
There have now been 1,951 local cases of COVID-19 in the ISLHD since the start of the current outbreak in June.
As at 8pm Thursday, October 7 there were 42 COVID-19 patients being treated in hospital.

Across the state, NSW recorded 646 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.
There were 11 deaths, two women and nine men.
Seven people were not vaccinated, three had received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and one had received two doses.
As of 11.59pm on Wednesday, October 6, 89.4 per cent of the over-16 population had received a first dose COVID-19 vaccine, and 70.3 per cent were fully vaccinated across NSW.
