Of those 62 new cases, 10 were Shoalhaven residents.
The health district provided the update on Tuesday, September 28:
- 37 cases are residents of Wollongong Local Government Area (LGA) - nine are linked to known cases and 28 are under investigation.
- 15 cases are residents of Shellharbour LGA - 12 are linked to known cases and three are under investigation.
- 10 cases are residents of Shoalhaven LGA - four are linked to a known cases and six are under investigation.

Five of the new cases in the Shoalhaven LGA reside within the postcode of 2540, and the other five new cases reside within 2541.
