The FAB Farmers Market will open for the summer season at Burrill Lake on October 22 and run through every second Friday evening until February 25, 2022.
The President of the Ulladulla Milton Lions Club, Margaret Clarke, said the club and the FAB farmers had been generously supported through the first season in 2019/2020 by the Shoalhaven City Council.
"It's appropriate that our mayor launches the second season of FAB. It's been a tough few years for all of us in the Shoalhaven, especially for our farmers, as we've soldiered through drought, fire, flood and a pandemic,, Ms Clarke said.
"So we trust that the re-opening of FAB, showcasing the work of last season's stallholders, and some exciting new farmers, will inject some optimism and comfort to our local community and, eventually, our visitors."
All health guidelines will be followed.
"The FAB Farmers Market will be one of the most COVIDSafe venues in the LGA, with a fully fenced Lions Park, single entry and exit points, COVID Marshalls to ensure social distancing, QR code check-ins and mandatory masks for all," she said
"Like other farmers' markets which have continued to operate throughout the pandemic, FAB is an essential provider of fresh food, and it doesn't get any fresher than fruit, vegetables, seafood, meat, wine, spirits, and other produce picked or processed just before the Market opening.
"The addition of the FAB resident band, the Hooded Plovers, always adds an extra element to an entertaining evening out beside the Lake."
