A South Coast childcare worker charged with the alleged sexual assault of a four-year-old girl while under his care has had all charges dropped and withdrawn on Tuesday.

The 54-year-old did not appear at the Nowra Local Court when Magistrate Lisa Viney heard all five charges against him were withdrawn and dismissed.
The man was represented in court by Toni Mudditt of Shoalhaven Lawyers, who said the charges had been dropped late Monday.
The matter will return to the Nowra Local Court on October 1 to make a determination about the continuation of an AVO.
