It is the highest number of cases the Shoalhaven has recorded in a 24 hour period since the June outbreak began in Greater Sydney.
The other seven cases are under investigation by NSW Health.
The Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD) recorded 50 new cases of COVID-19, and brought the total number of cases for the district to 771.

Shellharbour recorded 13 new cases, with six of these linked to known cases.
Kiama recorded two new cases.
Statewide, 82.5 per cent of eligible people in NSW have received one dose and 53 per cent have received two doses.
There were 1022 new COVID-19 cases in NSW from 121,661 tests.
There were 10 deaths, eight men and two women. There have been 255 COVID-19 related deaths in NSW since June 16, 2021 and 311 in total since the start of the pandemic.
