Following the announcement on Wednesday night, Woolies and Dan Murphy's stayed open during the day on Thursday but both stores confirmed they would undergo a detailed deep clean overnight as a precautionary measure.
A Woolworths spokesperson said as a food retailer, the store already had high standards of cleaning and hygiene in place.
"Customers and team members should be assured they can continue to safely shop and work at our Woolworths Batemans Bay store," the spokesperson said.
A Dan Murphy's spokesperson urged any customers who had shopped in store at the times listed to follow NSW Health advice to get tested and isolate.
"The wellbeing of our customers, team, and communities is our highest priority, and we will continue to work closely with NSW Health, and in line with public health advice," the spokesperson said.
"We are taking all necessary steps to ensure ongoing safety in our stores."
Meanwhile, the Batemans Bay Australia Post Office, listed as a venue of concern for people who visited on Saturday, September 4 from 9am to 9.10am, was closed until further notice.
An Australia Post spokesperson said the store was expected to be re-opened in the next few days.
"The Batemans Bay Post Office is currently closed while our staff are tested and isolate until they receive a negative result," the spokesperson said.
"We are providing support to our team and are following all advice from NSW Health with regards to deep cleaning."
On Thursday morning, NSW Health alerted the community about a third case recorded in Batemans Bay, a close contact of the previous two cases.
Contact tracing is underway and more exposure sites are expected to be released soon.
