"This is the first time we've had a break like this since Friday," said Susanne.
"We've been absolutely flat chat.
"On the Saturday, we got our first break at 3.30pm for a quick stop to have a drink of water and then carried on."
The Shoalhaven has recorded 12 cases of COVID-19 since Friday, September 3. No new cases were recorded on Tuesday.
Both from Jervis Bay, Susanne and Kristy said they are glad to see the amount of people coming forward to get tested.
"As soon as the news is announced of a new case, we get absolutely swamped," said Susanne.
"But everyone has been really nice, a lady even dropped off some chocolates yesterday with a card that said 'thank you to our angels'.
"The community have been just great."
"You do see the long line of cars appear and want to get through it as quickly as possible, because you don't want to leave people sitting in the car," said Kristy.
"We just head down and get through them as quickly as can."
Kitted out in their PPE, Susanne and Kristy said the outdoor job can get more difficult depending on the weather.
"It's really hot in our PPE," said Susanne.
"But we get cold out here too, especially when the storm came through, but we get through it."
Susanne and Kristy agreed the job is a rewarding one.
"As busy and tired as we are, it's a great job, because we see the community is coming forward and doing the right thing," said Kristy.
