Jockey Nash Rawiller lunged late to deliver a tight victory over pace-setter Riodini in the Group 2 Chelmsford Stakes, with Montefilia third.

The Kembla Grange gelding now has four black-type victories to his name and has successfully made the transition to weight-for-age racing.

The win came on the back of a tough sixth-place in the Winx Stakes, a race Think It Over had very little luck.

Nowra-born Parker will return to Randwick in two weeks time to contest the Group 1 George Main Stakes before he turns his focus to Melbourne and the Cox Plate.

"That's where you can probably work out the rest of the preparation from [the George Main]," Parker told Sky Racing.

"There will be a few more good ones in that.

"He's still got a little bit of improvement left in him and he'd need to, he's got to keep stepping up.

"It's always good to get one under the belt early in the prep."

Think It Over's victory came on a successful day for Kembla horses at Randwick, Robert and Luke Price's Jamaea taking out the Group 2 Furious Stakes.

Stablemate Tochi ran a game second in the Midway, with Parker's Tampering fourth.

Jamaea stormed home to claim her contest, edging Robodira by a nose.

Think It Over's win was just as tight, the gelding battling down the straight to reel in Riodini on the line.

The six-year-old was the only runner to emerge from the pack and make ground on the leader, with the likes of Cascadian, Shared Ambition and She's Ideel all struggling.

Parker conceded it took longer than anticipated for his runner to hit the front, but remained thrilled to secure the win.

"It was a good tough win. At the top of the straight, I thought he was going to pick him up a lot better than he did.

"Credit to the inside horse, he kept kicking and my bloke, with a little bit of help from Nash, has stuck his head out on the line."

Saturday marked the first time since last October Rawiller had ridden Think It Over and the jockey said it was clear he's grown in the past year.

"Glen Boss told me a month ago this horse is really a horse of the future," Rawiller said.

"He didn't feel he'd really fulfilled his potential and I think he just showed his qualities then. He can go onto better things from here."

"He's had a really good blow. They rolled along. He was in a perfect spot. We then had to chase from the 550m which is never easy to do here. If you can suck up for an extra 100m it makes a big difference to you. Full credit to him, he's a very good horse and a great thrill to win on him."
