NSW Health has identified Bunnings South Nowra as a COVID case location, urging shoppers who were there during the window of concern on Tuesday to get tested immediately and self-isolate until a negative result is received.
The team member was working at the complex last Tuesday, August 31, between 6:30am and 2pm, and this was the only shift they worked during last week.
Anyone who attended Bunnings during this time is a casual contact and must get tested and self-isolate until they receive a negative result.
NSW Health advises people who have already tested negative to be re-tested on day 5 after exposure, to wear a mask around others and limit your movements until you get another negative result.
"If you were at a casual contact venue at the time and date listed on the website, immediately get tested and isolate until you get a negative result, even if you have had a test in recent days," the advice says.
"If your date of exposure at this venue occurred in the past four days, you must get another test on day five from the date of exposure. Wear a mask around others and limit your movements until you get another negative result, and continue to monitor for symptoms, getting tested again if any symptoms occur."
Bunnings Area Manager David Williams told The South Coast Register a team member who worked earlier this week at the Nowra store has since tested positive for COVID-19.
"The team member, importantly, was wearing a face mask and adhered to COVID safe guidelines," Mr Williams said.
The news came the same day that NSW Heath announced two positive COVID cases in the Shoalhaven, and a further 13 cases were reported in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (nine in Wollongong and 2 in Shellharbour) and 1431 caseas across the state.

"Since the outset of COVID-19, we've been taking extra steps in store, and the Nowra store has undergone three deep cleans using antiviral disinfectants since Tuesday, with an additional deep clean conducted last evening (Thursday night).
"We're doing everything we can to support our team member who is self-isolating."
