The first-time Paralympian performed strongly in Saturday's heats, clocking a 1:01.99 to finish fourth in race one.
This time qualified the Shoalhaven High School student for the final later that night at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre.
Despite smashing her own Australian record, by clocking a 1:01.18, the Bay and Basin Amateur Swim Club product touched the wall in fifth - missing out on a podium finish by less than one second.
The race was won by Canada's Aurelie Rivard (58.14), who edged out Dutch duo Chantalle Zijderveld (1:00.23) and Lisa Kruger (1:00.68) for the gold medal.
The 16-year-old Shoalhaven talent will now turn her attention's to Tuesday's women's S10 100-metre butterfly timed final.
