Competing in the grade II para-equestrian individual test on Thursday, the duo finished in ninth at the Baji Koen Equestrian Park - with a final percentage score of 65.618.
Unfortunately, only the top eight combinations per grade progress to the individual freestyle test, meaning the South Coast pair missed out by one spot and just over one point of qualifying further.
"My gorgeous boy is a Paralympian - well we both are and that can never be taken away," Davies said via her Facebook post-event.
"Unfortunately, not our best work but I'm super proud at how I mentally and physically prepared myself - I didn't feel stressed and just took it all in.
"Celere warmed up great showing off his impressive trot but entering the main arena with the atmosphere, tension set in.
"He didn't do anything wrong but you could say he held his breath due to the photographers, television cameras, people and the echo.
"But he looked after me and it was such a special memory that'll we'll never forget."
Great Britain's Lee Pearson, and his Breezer, finished first (with a score of 76.265) during the competition, ahead of Austria's Pepo Puch (73.441), Great Britain's Georgia Wilson (72.765), Germany's Heidemarie Dresing (72.294), United States' Beatrice de Lavalette (70.265), Denmark's Katrine Kristensen (69.794), Japan's Mitsuhide Miyaji (66.824) and Russian Paralympic Committee's Iuliia Poliakova (66.824).
Davies will be competing again on Saturday afternoon in the team test to music.
Also on Thursday, Davies' Australian teammates Amelia White and Sharon Jarvis finished eighth and 10th in the grace IV and V respectively.
Willinga Park-based Emma Booth will start her Paralympics assault on Friday at 5pm.
