Many local schools held their Book Week parades virtually, sporting costumes suited to this year's theme of New Worlds, Old Worlds and Other Worlds.
Bomaderry Public School students also celebrated by holding a writing competition titled 'Be an Author', encouraging students to write and illustrate their own book.
Teacher librarion Angela Urquhart also joined Zoom classes to discuss the Children's Book Council of Australia short-listed titles.
Since 1945, the Children's Book Council of Australia has brought children and books together across Australia through Book Week.
