The launch of a monthly walking Art Trail is planned for Saturday, October 2 (pending COVID restrictions) at the rotunda on Dolphin Reserve in Currarong.
A bbq breakfast will kick off festivities, with a 'meet the artists' event planned from 9am to 10am.
The artists will then open up their homes from 10am to 2pm as the public walks from place to place, visiting their work spaces, viewing their art and potentially purchasing creative pieces direct from the artists.
A website will soon be up and running to feature information on each location, the artists involved and their work.
"It is hoped that this will become an exciting event and community project for Currarong and the Shoalhaven that will showcase local artists and support our local community throughout the year especially in shoulder periods," Chris Sylva from the Currarong Art Trail Committee said.
"There is also no cost, it's a free community event."
Currarong Art Trail information will also be available from various outlets in Currarong such as Zac's, The Club, Holiday Haven, The Arts and Craft Cottage and all artist's homes or venues.
Participants can simply download or collect an Art Trail brochure, select their preferred artists in order of priority and start walking the Currarong Art Trail.
Some participants may choose to view every artists and others may choose to walk and view only a small portion of the trail.
"It is hoped that participants will return to Currarong on multiple occasions to keep abreast of new art works and emerging artists," Chris said.
