A worker on a local dairy farm has been airlifted to a Sydney hospital in a "serious condition" after being "squashed" by a cow in Numbaa on Thursday morning.

The man in his 60s was airlifted to St George Hospital.
NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to the property on Comerong Island Road just after 11am, Thursday, August 5 with reports that a man was "squashed between a cow and a fence" .

A spokesperson for NSW Ambulance said the crews responded to reports the man was experiencing "serious chest and back injuries".
The spokesperson also said it looked like a workplace injury and the man remains in a serious condition.
