That's what Jack Bird hopes is the case as the Dragons prepare for life without their captain.
The halfback leads the Red V's list of outs for Friday's showdown with Canberra, with Gerard Beale and Josh Kerr also serving their "dirty dozen" suspensions, while Tyrell Fuimaono faces another stint on the sidelines after copping a dangerous contact charge for a hit on Dane Gagai.
Tyrell Sloan also drops out of the starting 17.
However, it's not all doom and gloom, with St George Illawarra receiving a huge shot in the arm with the return of several key figures.
Bird will line up at fullback, with Zac Lomax and Mikaele Ravalawa returning in the outside backs, while Jack de Belin, Blake Lawrie, Josh McGuire bolster the forward pack.
Albion Park-Oak Flats' Adam Clune will move from the bench into the vacant number seven jersey, where he will partner Corey Norman in the halves.
And Bird tips Clune to shine.
"With most of our suspensions done, and a full team coming back onto the paddock, it's going to be a real big boost for us," Bird said.
"Hopefully we can string a few wins together with a full-strength team and get a real surge going into the finals."
"Benny is going to be a big loss, he's a great leader and been one of our best all year.
"But we've done it before without him, at the start of the year when he broke his leg.
"We'll have four weeks without him and hopefully he'll come back nice and healthy, and get us to where we want to go.
"We've got some young fellas here who can play football.
"We've got Adam Clune, he's been playing hooker for us for a little bit, but I'm sure he will go into the halfback position.
"He's done it before and he will do just fine for us, I think we'll be right."
The Dragons will aim to arrest a three-game losing streak at Cbus Super Stadium, which has seen them slip outside the top eight.
Standing in their way on Friday is a Raiders side also fighting for a place in this year's finals.
"It is a must-win game. We don't go out there to lose games, we go out there to win everything that we play for," Bird said.
"This year hasn't really been our year, we start well and then we finish pretty badly.
"For us, we need to put in an 80-minute performance. Lately we've only been doing 30-minute, or 40-minute games.
"We've been travelling alright at half time and then come out in the second half and let our guard down.
"We're sitting out of the top eight now and we want to make finals.
"That's where we think we can be. It's a must-win game, and I'm confident we can do that.
"We've just got to play for 80 minutes."
