Unlike the inaugural season, where the two clubs first grade sides locked horns, this year it was their over 35 men's squads that played off for silverware - with Culburra not having a first grade side and Sussex not having a second grade.
During the round 16 match, Luke Griffis opened the scoring for the Cougars in the 15th minute before Dragan Arnautovic pulled one back for the hosts in the 34th minute.
That scoreline was short-lived, as the Seahawks added a second four minutes later through Christopher Duncan.
But less than 60 seconds later, the Cougars were back on level pegging as Matthew Parsons made it 2-all.
Despite numerous efforts from both sides, neither could find a winning strike, largely to the courageous efforts of both goalkeepers Scott Merivale and Brett Fernie - seeing the hosts retain the trophy, after winning the maiden fixture in 2020.
Paul Morrison and Chris Duncan Sussex were named the Cougars and Seahawks respective players of the match, while Drago Arnautovic was given man of the match points by the referee.
"Corey 'Chook' Bain was a club legend for both clubs," said Culburra president Lindsey Higgins.
"A Sussex junior that came through to play first grade with the Cougars.
"He won competitions, golden boots in the mid-2000s and was a nightmare for defenders to try and stop.
"For a bloke who wasn't suppose to make it past his 12th birthday, he was an amazing talent.
"He played with passion, enthusiasm and determination - all of which translated from his outlook on life."
Both Shoalhaven District Football Association clubs plan to continue this annual tradition for years to come.
