Police are focused on doing everything they can to ensure regional NSW remains safe from the virus, and the recent case in Goulburn highlights the need for our continued vigilance.
Key to preventing the virus from seeding in regional areas is the willingness of locals to call out people who are doing the wrong thing.
As Commissioner Fuller said on Monday (July 12), there were more than 3000 COVID-19 related calls to Crime Stoppers over the weekend across the state.

South Coast Police District Commander, Superintendent Greg Moore said "now is not the time for complacency".
"It's evident most people in our community appreciate the seriousness of the situation - so to those people I say thank you for your compliance so far and please continue what you're doing to keep us safe," Superintendent Moore said.
"To those who think they don't have to stick to the rules - police are out and about conducting patrols and will not hesitate to give you a ticket."
The following restrictions apply to regional areas.
- Visitors to households will be limited to five guests - including children;
- Masks are compulsory in all indoor non-residential settings, including workplaces, and at organised outdoor events;
- Drinking while standing at indoor venues will not be allowed;
- Singing by audiences at indoor shows or by congregants at indoor places of worship will not be allowed;
- Dancing not be allowed at indoor hospitality venues or nightclubs;
- Dancing will be allowed at weddings, but only for the wedding party (no more than 20 people);
- Dance and gym classes limited to 20 per class (masks must be worn);
- The one person per four square metre rule is reintroduced for all indoor and outdoor settings, including weddings and funerals;
- Outdoor seated events will be limited to 50 per cent seated capacity
